FoRCE thrives because of its volunteers, and there are many ways you can contribute. Whether you have a couple of hours to spare or want to get more involved, we have a role for everyone.

Join A Volunteer Activity
We hold regular sessions where we undertake gardening, litter picking, pier restoration and other hands-on activities. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in and make a difference. Tools and materials are provided, just come along wearing suitable clothing.
We also get out and about in Rochester, supporting local events such as artisan markets, fostering public engagement, and recruiting new Friends, Members and volunteers, plus we also like to come together for a social event now and then.

Become A Helper
Not everyone can attend volunteer sessions, but there are plenty of small behind-the-scenes tasks that make a big impact. Our Helpers are volunteers who undertake particular roles, responsibilities or projects on behalf of the committee. These can include site monitoring, leading activities, acting as first aiders, writing and maintaining our website and social media channels, or circulating leaflets to broaden our membership and community engagement. Nominate For The Committee
Take on a leadership role by joining the committee. Help plan projects, organise events, and steer the direction of FoRCE’s work in the community. The committee is responsible for steering the organisation, ensuring we meet our obligations to our members and the law, and expanding our activities to make an even more positive impact on our cherished green spaces. Maybe you could bring your skills and motivation to one of our vacant committee positions?
Donate
Making a donation is a great way to contribute to our efforts. Every penny you donate goes towards enabling one of our exciting projects, whether it be keeping Esplanade Gardens and Churchfields free of litter or planting new hedgerows.
