Fundraiser

Vacancy

Our Fundraiser role sits within our Resources & Relationships part of the committee, alongside Membership & Volunteers and Partnerships. The role helps ensure FoRCE has the money and materials needed to deliver projects like our hedgerows or sensory garden projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes connecting with people and is able to convince them we’re a worthy cause for their support.

What You'll Do

As our fundraiser, you would:

  • Identify and develop new sources of funding
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors and corporate supporters
  • Prepare small funding requests and sponsorship proposals
  • Keep our donor tracker up to date
  • Share updates with the committee

Even a couple of well-timed funding wins each year can make a huge difference to what FoRCE can deliver.

Experience

Experience is helpful but absolutely not required. If you’re willing to learn, we’ll support you. It’s a great way to develop skills in:

  • Bid writing
  • Stakeholder management
  • Project planning
  • Persuasion and communication

It’s also a valuable addition to any CV or LinkedIn profile.

Your Ideas

All of our roles have flexibility in them, so if there are things that you’re interested in that are not in the description, then we’re very happy to try and accommodate your interests.

Time Commitment

We are all volunteers and understand people’s time is precious. We all do what we can, when we can. As such, all of our roles are flexible: you can contribute as little as a couple of hours a month. Wherever possible, we do ask committee members to join our committee meetings, which are held monthly, remotely over Zoom, lasting no more than 40 minutes.
